That's better. This looks like a pretty sweet line up, hey pal.

I'll definitely be there for .hinge and Superb Lyrebird... maybe Bushido too if I get there early enough.

Been gearing up for this for a while. Still been waiting to buy the new .hinge album from the store. July 20th this year is a significant date for me for other reasons too, so it'll be good to mark it with such a great gig.

Personal reasons ...and it's Chris Cornell's Birthday! And I recently found out in 1976 it was the date of a certain gig in Manchester that inspired several young English folk to create bands.

Got there just in time for Nucleus the other night. Was glad I got to watch Orion, their strongest song. Everything sounded great...

Bushido kicked ass, and were easily the band of the night, IMO. Just a shame their set was so short...

Superb Lyrebird were pretty good. Very "proggy", and bordering on psychedelic. I kind of lost interest halfway through, but they reigned it in at the end. Really solid band, that just need some more solid tunes I reckon...

Hinge, hinge, hinge...so much to live up to, and so much hype...

I loved the heartbeat intro, as it really set the mood. Going into their first song, they proved yet again that they are a great live band, tight as hell. The older songs really proved that. But as far as the newer material went, not so much. Played well, but a lot of them struggled to hold my interest, and for the majority there were no real "hooks" to speak of. Still, the great turn out seemed to enjoy it, and I am really happy for the guys, as the album is quite an accomplishment nevertheless...

I wish them all the best on this new journey, and hope bigger and better things come to them, as they surely deserve it...

Was also great just to see everyone. Plenty of old friends and acquaintances about. Good times...

8 Ball Junkies at The Lansdowne afterwards was absolutely hilarious. So trashy. They are living proof that you can be a shit band, playing shit songs, really badly, blind drunk, but still manage to make it entertaining. And Ceinwen is a great frontwoman. I'd like to see her play slightly more sober, as you can tell she's got a really good strong voice, with plenty of character...

I very much agree, especially about wanting to see her play more sober... although some of that dancing was pretty hot, ahem.
