the end of .hinge - THE FINAL .hinge SHOW

Evening all...

Yep, that's right: after THIRTEEN YEARS, 3 EP's, 2 albums, countless shows, tours, tunes & laughs, .hinge have called it a day...

When we first started, back in 1997, we promised ourselves that we'd keep playing as .hinge for as long as we could: as long as it was fresh & fun, we'd keep on keeping on. Alas, for some, the sun has set.

In 1997, five friends set out to create music that was at-once arresting, exciting and completely unique; keeping ourselves 'perplexed' and amused, and hoping that would then translate to an audience wider than the five of us...

Luckily enough, it did :) And thirteen years later, here we are...

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the people involved in helping us live our dream: our families, partners, friends, the innumerable & amazing bands with which we've been able to share the stage, & our "band hands" (my brand new name for our many helpers over the years)... EXTRA SPECIAL love & hugs go out to Che Whyte, Pina Tuteri, Edwin Tehrani & Reggie Bowman.

Most of all, we want to thank everyone who's ever come to a show, clapped their hands, bought a cd - and made our collective days & nights.

Without you guys, we would've simply been 5 people making noise in an empty room... I think there's a philosophical proverb in there (lol), but I digress...

We're going to be saying farewell in the same fashion that we've said "hello" - by playing a couple of killer shows :)

For the NSW-peeps, join us on Saturday, 1st May @ The Excelsior in Surrey Hills. More details to come shortly...

And for our hometown, we return to one of the first venues we ever played!!

The FINAL EVER .hinge show takes place on Saturday, 8th May @ The Espy (GERSHWIN ROOM).

We'll be playing a collection of tracks from spanning the lat 13 years, mining your faves from all 5 releases & more... Whilst we've definitely got set-lists in mind, if you've got a fave track that you want us to play, then msg/email us - you just might get it :)

More details & ticket info to come shortly.

Come along & celebrate the life of .hinge with us :)
Don't miss out.

There shall be no reunions, no comebacks - this is it.

Don't miss!

Fanx for reading :)

A band that deserves a heck of a lot more recognition than they have had throughout their career.
