Metallica - Death Magnetic

Techniques to stimulate the vestibule

With anticipation mounting for the release of Death Magnetic, Metallica has announced a show at the O2 Arena in London on 15 September, with tickets at just £5 a pop. A few days prior, they’ll play O2 World in Berlin for 10€ a ticket.

Is the rock juggernaut suffering a crippling lack of self confidence? Not quite. In a statement on its website, the band writes: “Because this is a celebration, tickets prices will be, shall we say, ‘retro?’ Only ten Euros for Berlin, five pounds in London! And the best part is that all the proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to local charities.”Aww…

As you can imagine, such generous pricing could spell a scalper free-for-all, so Metallica is limiting tickets to two per order. Should you be around London in time, pick up a ticket at the band website.

Is the album cover a refererence to how much of an arsehole Lars Ulrich is?

...and the verdict?

Apparently there was a lot of compression in the pre-mastering, which wasn't able to be fixed in the final mastering.

Hmmm. Just decided to check out some of this album out of some sort of delayed curiosity.

It's... cute.
