The Mars Volta Australia Tour Nov/Dec 2006

Bleeding from nose, throat & ears

disagree....

i agree that last time sounded better - obviously the smaller venue helped their sound a lot more than the Hordern, as im pretty sure everyone was aware before the show even started...

i didnt get bored for the whole 2 hours.

the new drummer is a nutcase. was good though, he held a different groove to jon, but it was still a killer groove. my only fear at the beginning of the set was that he was going a little too crazy. but towards the middle of the set he started to settle and hold the groove more...

i dont know what else to say... im still amazed.

quote of the night

'never use line 6 pedals!'

im gonna keep raving about this, i dont care.

did you get to check out the gear they were using at all? i mean the amount of stuff on stage is amazing..

i also noticed that the FOH engineer was using a Digidesign VENUE console. Fully automated desk. He was also running 8 firwire drives and tracking straight to disk.
