Description : The monks at the Grande Chartreuse monastery produce a powerfully alcoholic herbal elixir known as the "Chartreuse", made in a green version "Chartreuse Verte" as shown on the picture, and a sweeter yellow version "Charteuse Jaune" popular with women. The "Chartreuse" is made from an ancient secret recipe using a large number of herbs from the Alps. This is not a Disneyworld king of "secret recipe" but the real thing made by real monks.
