And then that gives locals to 'disrespect' visitors, because they've got the 'rights' to that part of town????

I think you need to start thinking more along the lines of "RESPECT EVERYONE"

Exactly, EVERYONE should be respected equally.
I consider myself a local all over Australia because I am an Australian.

And yet if I would have been down in Cronulla on Sunday I would have got my head kicked in. Fuck that. There is no way in hell I would EVER show respect to 5000 racist pricks...

no locals "disrespect" visitors when they arnt given the respect the deserve.

How about this senario...seeing Australia is a free country and people should be able to do as they please (within the law) is there any reason why I shouldnt go and set up a BBQ outside Lakemba mosque (sp?) and cook up some bacon, pork chops and ham?

Its a free country isnt it?

no because the land that the mosque is on has been bought by the mosque.

I think you are in a little over your head with this one

I remember copping heaps of shit from Cronulla locals when I surfed there a bunch of times years ago. I was insulted and threatened with violence unprovoked. Friends of mine HAVE been beaten up there and had shit stolen over the years, BY LOCALS. You want me to respect that kind of behaviour?
