Might go along to this actually... see if the girl wants to come along too, all depends on whether she's working Saturday I guess.
I touched her hand... her hand touched her boob. By the transitive property, I got boob! Algebra's awesome!

Dear Friends,

HOW FUCKING COLD IS IT?

And yet still they came! On a cold, damp friday night, you made the effort to come out support local music and see the start of our set. I can't thank those people enough, because there is no reason for you to be there, there is no reason why people should give a shit about this band, so to have that many people turn up to see us (I speak for the whole band here) was both meaningful and touching.

What I did notice, was that nobody moved, nobody left, got a drink or talked over us, the audience just stood back, soaked it all in and came on the journey with us. It reminded me of the first time I saw A Perfect Circle, people sat down in the crowd and just listened, I thought that was the coolest thing I'd ever seen at a gig. You don't have to leap 5 ft in the air to enjoy yourself.

It wasn't the perfect set by any means, in fact it was quite loose and raw, plus we didn't have the projections this time either. But I got the vibe we made more of an impact and an impression on people than we ever have before.

I can't pinpoint a reason why, I think its obvious that we do all this with conviction, passion and an intensity which is as raw as it is genuine - maybe, it's all becoming a little clearer to people?

Every band has potential, even U2 have the potential to be a better band, you can never exceed your abilities in the future. But what you can do, is capture the present, take a snap shot if you will, of the here and now. And that is what this EP (which we're currently recording) is all about.

It's going to sound a lot different to what you heard on stage on Friday, but the elements that make this band what we are and our sound, will all be present - just heighted and more intense.

To the people who bought our merch on the night, thankyou so much - you made it a first haha and a special thanks to DG for being one exceptionally cool, honest and open cat.

*glances over at recording desk*

But for now, back to work...
