Radiohead do free gig in London

Postby Chantel » Fri Jan 18, 2008 2:31 pm

After much speculation about their return to the stage, Radiohead appeased their fans with a humble free gig in London last night. Pfft, who needs to headline Glastonbury?

The band was set to play in London’s Rough Trade East store, just off Brick Lane. Tickets were allocated on first-come, first-served basis, meaning the queing started very early.

At the last minute, though, police decided it would be unsafe to have punters milling about outside the store, and moved the gig to the nearby 93 Feet East venue. Radiohead didn’t take the stage till 10:20pm, two hours after they were originally scheduled to start.

When they did though, it was In Rainbows from start to finish. The set tailed off with some older tracks like The National Anthem and My Iron Lung.

For the completists out there, here’s the full set list, courtesy of NME. Swoon!

15 Step
Bodysnatchers
Nude
Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
All I Need
Faust Arp
Reckoner
House Of Cards
Jigsaw Falling Into Place
