I wish to offer my most humble and most heart felt apology to anyone and every one I have offended by my foolish outburst. I wish that I had chosen my words with greater care (understatement) and with more thought about what I was saying and to whom I was addressing. I have learnt my lesson, and realise that being out of control drunk (Not an excuse just the truth) or otherwise is unacceptable here and anywhere else especially when speaking about issues ppl are sensitive about and feel strongly about such as piracy. I had at that time whilst posting forgotten my place on this board, and I sincerely hope that the only reputation I have destroyed here has been my own.
I would like to offer a better explanation about how I feel for what it's worth, and for anyone that wishes to read.
The first point is one of principle; I think we can all agree that an act of piracy and or stealing from anyone is wrong. The way we judge the principles regarding intellectual property such as music and literature is a tricky thing for us all to agree on, but in my opinion taking something without paying for it is wrong.
Secondly we have many cheap and affordable ways and means to obtain music. Itunes is a great example and a cheap way to get music direct to your computer, and as im told you can download all of our songs from itunes from between $1 - $2. If you don't have a credit card, you could ask the band to set up a free download for a time or what about doing a limited run or releasing a B-side and rarity compilation, any of these in my opinion is preferable, and im sure there are other ways also.
Thirdly and I guess an issue and topic that is so easily thrown around without knowing the facts is of course money. Can I just say straight up that if I was in this life for the money id be an accountant and a pretty bad one at that

Look guys I don't know exactly what the figures are but I can tell you for sure that on a 1$ download from itunes it wouldn't be much, and besides all I want out of music at the end of the day is to be able to support my family that’s it. I don't own a car, a house, heaps of clothes have a huge bank account or even the best music gear, for my 26 years of singing ive got memories and the best times spent with you guys.
Its not about money for me it's simply the principle for which I stand, if I don’t stand up and say hey guys this is what I think then im part of the problem and not trying to at least offer another opinion and point of view.
Again to everyone I am sorry that I have angered and outraged you here, it was arrogant and ignorant of me to even think such an outburst would be treated in any other way. I am ashamed of my behaviour and regret my silence, I hope that these feelings of anger and disappointment will pass for you all again my apologies.
Respectfully
Clint
