Yes i know this is the Well Fed forum and stuff, but i thought i would share some of my stuff with you guys.. :P

On myspace (http://www.myspace.com/dwhmedia) i have put up 10 tracks i have worked on over the past year and a bit. Some demos, remixes and some tracks from local bands EPs.

I have also put up a sample of the remix i am currently doing for Paper Champion.

If you get a chance to have a listen, any comments, critiques are appreciated. I value the opinion of those that visit this forum

I really like the Baldielox song itself. Musically it's recorded well, but I reckon the vocals let it down a bit. I generally like the sound of his voice, I just feel it could have been recorded better. More/better harmonies. He's out of tune in places. Also, the reverb that gets pumped up towards the end on the snare is pretty cheesy IMO...

Digging the strings and female operatic vocals in the Monday Mourning song. But overall I don't think the song is mixed that well. Are the lead vocals meant to be that low in the mix? I really don't like the sound of the drums in this, especially the snare...

Yeah, not a bad track.
Definitely one of the better sounding songs of the lot.
The vocals in particular...

I use pro tools to mix. I own an m-box currently. To record in i use the m-box in sync with a roland hard disk recorder, then bounce the tracks into pro-tools. As far as mics go, nothing special. Shure PG series drum mics, SM57s, and a Behringer condensor for vocals....
Its kind of a makeshift way of doing things until i can actually afford a decent pro-tools rig + mikes etc
