The Last Winter is an independent Australian feature film, which will begin shooting in Sydney in late August. The Last Winter is set in 1987 and will focus on the Newtown Jets rugby league club. Starring former rugby league player Matthew Johns in his debut on the big screen, Jane Forrest (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Two Hands, and Little Fish) will direct.
