I don't know.
Why aren't you?

That is an extremely bold, not to mention unfounded and ridiculous, statement.

Wholeheartedly disagree.

Shit band...

I always hear of them but I don't think I've heard any of their stuff. I've never liked Iggy Pop so maybe that's why I haven't bothered...

"Shit band" or not, it's not an unfounded statement. Bands from The Damned to Nirvana, The Birthday Party to Rage Against the Machine were heavily influenced by this album. It's "rock" in it's purest, primal, stripped down, wild, raw form.

And besides, you haven't exactly explained why any of the albums you have mentioned are great, essential or important.

Taste is subjective. i can say a band like the Beach Boys were important and influential and made great music and still not actually like them. Personally, i think they're annoying and suck because they pretend to be all nice and happy when really they hate each other. But i still objectively aknowledge their place in history and craftwork of their songs.

i'm asking people to be objective about this, if at all possible.

i also think you're annoying.

What the hell does that have to do with credibility?

And to have lost any credibility, suggests i had some to begin with.

Don't care.

Clean your ears out.

I don't have to justify anything to anyone...
