Pneumonia at the age of 73.

i was on the train on Boxing Day when i found out about this. Someone several seats down had their newspaper open wide with the words "MUSIC HAS LOST ITS SOUL: JAMES BROWN DIES" or some shit like that with a picture of the man who evolved funk... one of my favourite genres of music (if favourites can be had).

73 is older than many great musicians who've died though. Fortunately his music will live much longer.
