New Nightmare!

Postby Chantel » Wed Aug 30, 2006 10:54 am

We’re not talking Nightmare on Elm St this time, rather the cult hit Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas. The film, and subsequent merchandising effort, has become influential in the emo scene, with the characters plastered across many emo T-shirts.

Whilst it was a critically acclaimed flop on it first theatrical release, Disney are re-releasing the film in October in 3D. They’ve also decided that a new soundtrack for the film is in order.

Artists gracing the soundtrack include Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Marilyn Manson, Fiona Apple and She Wants Revenge. Emos all over the place will be looking out for this one.

Okay, the only redeemable thing about that movie was the "what's this?" song and it's going to be ruined :(

I personally though Tim Burton flopped on this movie but only cos it wasn't up to my expectations *shrugs*

And the reason to re-release it is cos it'll sell to Emos is absolutely ludicrous.

OH GOD NO! Marilyn Manson redid This is Halloween and it's killing my ears >_< and the Fall Out boy song is just as painful.

I love this movie, and it's original soundtrack.

These new versions are a fucking travesty...
