Good Morning, internet friends!

Postby craigwardo » Tue Oct 30, 2007 10:26 am

I am a little bored this morning, so I would like you all to tell me, in a little detail about one specific exciting thing that is happening in your life.

It could be something you are looking forward to, or something you did in the last couple of weeks.

Be specific, support your answers.

I am excited about The Red Room.

Today I have mainly been conceptualising what one of our shows would be like - stage props, decoration, costume, instrument set up, make up etc etc.

Also, thinking about promo shots - composition, black/white or colour or both, etc etc

And lyrics lyrics lyrics.

Channy I would like you, if it's OK, to ellaborate more on that post.

More specifically I am interested in instrumentation. Will it be just Luis, yourself and the mystery double bass player?

Am I wrong to keep picutring a Dresden Dolls kind off vibe for the visuals?

Yeah I'm not really thinking Dresden Dolls....

More of an almost acoustic/mellow 1950's Bjork. Lots more colour rather than black and white Dresden's punk cabaret vibe. Possibly a bit more Lamb (the band not the meat).

So far what Luis wants for the instrumentation is: Obviously he and I - joined by mystery double bass player, drums - Nick (Shanghai), strings (violin, viola, cello) and woodwinds (flute, clarinet, sax).

Yeah, Red Room has been figuring into things lately. I'm currently working on what I think will end up being the opening track. A slow moving graceful grandiose affair. Very me in style, but with some musical nuances I haven't yet tapped into until this point. VERY excited about this song...

Live line up will probably consist of the following:

Channy - Vocals, some Keys
Moi - Keys, Theremin...maybe some other little weird contraptions

Then

Drums (Nick)
Double bass
Guitar
Flute, Sax (Grant)
Clarinet, Sax (Karen??)
Violin
Cello
