No, I believe her father's name is Tom.

It's not a very common syndrome and only affects 1 out of 10,000 births. It's still very sad.

What kind of gets me and I can understand both sides of the coin, but when she was born she was on the verge of death due to her complications; the doctors did everything to save her cos her brain was perfectly formed and she did not suffer any kind of mental disease. Now the poor girl is going to grow up looking like that, knowing full well that she (no offense) looks like a monster, being completely normal in her head, she's going to end up taking her own life. Unless she's extremely resilient and strong.

I personally would have told the docotrs not to save her. It was selfish of the parents to want to keep their child alive so they wouldn't feel pain. What about their childs pain :(

The tubes in her nose are cos she can't breath out of her nose without them, no oxygen to the brain, which would lead to brain dysfunctions. She's deaf and can't see out of her right eye. :( She's gone through 6 major operations in her short life so far, cos not only is she missing facial bones but sections of her skull as well, that they had to fill with bones from her ribs.

It was selfish for the parents to take responsibility for the life they created?

It was selfish for them to want to love and care for that little girl with all their hearts?

Because someone is deformed, that makes them less worthy of a life?
